Is a good idea to choose a nice 5 stars hotel in Tuscany to spend an holiday following the steps of the famous actors that every year are coming here to find relax and have fun.

This oasis of quietness and entertainment is favorited not only by Vips, but also by a great poet and writer as Gabriele D’Annunzio, that attended Versilia and lived in a villa near Pietrasanta, where wrote verses of Alcyone and Francesca da Rimini. Thanks to the powerful imaginative world of D’Annunzio the Versilia became an attractive venue and today is possible to follow the routes suggested by the poet.

At the villa now take place the Festival La Versiliana, a very trendy event, suggested if you desire a cultural holiday. The shows are scheduled until 25th August, the complete calendar is here: www.laversilianafestival.com

After Pietrasanta, our advice is to visit Torre del Lago Puccini, where the famous musician Giacomo Puccini lay; his residence, Villa Puccini, is open to public and hosts a museum an a beautiful garden. Torre del Lago is one of the less crowded destinations in Versilia but at the same time is full of restaurants, beaches and disco clubs.

Itineraries in the greenery of Tuscany

Summer holidays in Tuscany If you are sated with sea and beaches, an alternative could be to visit the hinterland, because also the provinces of Pisa and Siena are full of events, enchanting Medieval towns and restored villas turned into charming relais.

For who arrives here in July we mention the Nights of Archeology, a special openings at night of the main archaeological sites in the region; if you planned to travel in August there is the traditional Palio di Siena on 16th, unique and breathtaking event, or Capalbio Libri, a book festival from 1st to 12th August in the town in province of Grosseto. Capalbio remained unaltered over the centuries and among his sights has the Torre Aldobrandesca and Piazza Magenta; in the past was named “the small Athens” for its great historical and artistic influence during Renaissance era.
