We want to give you some tips for a travel to Emilia Romagna, the right destination for total comfort holidays; we also give you useful advices to discover the authentic side of this region and avoid the most crowded venues.
The precious wellness at Terme di Cervia
A trip is a chance to find the balance between body and soul, regenerate yourselves and to have more spare time. The Terme di Cervia are located on the Adriatic Coast and are a beautiful destination during summer thanks to the closeness to the beaches of Milano Marittima, “the garden city”, situated on the edge of Cervia pinewood and full of beach resorts equipped with all the facilities.
The Terme offer wellness treatments, thalassotherapic in particular, due to the salso-bromo-iodic water and the thermal muds, so is the nature which provides the “raw material”. These Thermal baths reached the top level for its wide range of services.
Taste the pure relax of Emilia Romagna walking through the big pinewood of Cervia or ride a bike (you can rent one there), a nice way to keep in touch with nature.
The delicious Este palaces and the Po Delta Park
Probably you don’t know yet the protected area of Po Delta, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO, a very vast territory that you can explore by foot, by bike or by motorboat: there are many itineraries available and organized excursions, just ask to the welcome points of the Park www.parcodeltapo.it .
Just in this area rises Comacchio, a town founded by Etruscans and built on more than thirteen different islets, in fact is defined “a city molded from water”. Comacchio features many bridges and its symbol is Trepponti, an architectural complex built in 1634 and composed by five staircases, the result of Renaissance genius and care for elegance, a feature of many towns of this region. We suggest to visit one of the “Delicious Este palaces” to enjoy a pure luxury experience: these palaces aren’t a deliciousness as food, but a bunch of 30 villas, hunting lodges and summer retreats located between the provinces of Ferrara and Rovigo, wanted by the Este family.
Among the visitable palaces our favorite is Palazzo Schifanoia in Ferrara, dated back to 1385, a venue dedicated to amusement (the name of the palace means “escape from boredom”), now turned in a museum which houses collections of antiques, paintings, coins and medals. Walk through the halls of the palace, admire the artwork like the allegorical frescoes dedicated to the cylce of the months helps to imagine how the noble people were used to spend their spare time.
The city of Ferrara keeps an exclusiveness mood thanks to the architectural style of the hsitorical center palaces, that make it a jewel of Emilia plain to include in your travel route www.artecultura.fe.it.
Golf club close to a natural reserve
The Emilia Romagna is full of attractions and there are many Golf Clubs for all the lovers of this sport. Among the 25 clubs we recommend the Adriatic Golf Club Cervia, surrounded by a wonderful pinewood and close to the seaside. The 27 holes were built following different inspirations: a part of the Club remins to the great American courses, another one has a more innovative design, in fact the course hosted the Italian Professional Championships.
The sea breeze is a remedy for muggy weather and here you can practise or relax yourselves at the Club House, where there are bar, restaurant with terrace, golf-kart and trolley rental service, a shop for your sport purchases. In the end, if you wish a new way to enjoy wellness, the Emilia Romagna could be the ideal destination in Italy.
