Taking the cue from some prestigious events dedicated to yacht lovers we talk about the more interesting excellences born in Italy for yachting.
The Monaco Yacht Show is just finished, but until 6th October you can join the International Boat Show in Genoa, so we suggest you the best products of this year and the top features of the biggest boats.
Yachts and records, the Italian leadership
In Monaco it was displayed the most silent luxury yacht in the world, the Admiral Cacos V. This is an Italian record; in fact the Admiral Tecnomar is the yachting unit of The Italian Sea Group and built this yacht in the boatyard of Marina di Carrara, achieving the maximum level of comfort ever approved by RINA, the class COMF (Y) 90, 100.
This is the result of the advanced technology used to design this 40 meters megayacht, which registered noise levels and vibration levels lower than the average of this field(-25% and -80% respectively). This is the ideal answer for who is looking for a yacht different from the others, which has the highest comfort during the sailing. This yacht, part of the Impero series, has a design classic and original at the same time, due to the dark oak furniture and the artistic decorations of each cabin.
About the International Boat Show in Genoa, this is an updated edition: now it lasts 5 days (the previous editions were 9) and the exhibition space comprises 180.000 square meters (100.000 square meters of water basin surface). This year the available areas are: Power Village, dedicated to the motors; Boat Discovery, an area for who wishes to buy a boat; Sailing World for the sail boat fans; Motorboats, the area with the motor yachts; Tech Trade, where to find any kind of accessory.
The most involving area is Sea Experience, because here you can try the water sports; join workshops and go canoeing and kayaking. Furthermore, the here you can admire a very big yacht, Chopi Chopi, the 80 meters superyacht made by CRN boatyard, a flagship valued more than 80 million of euros.
The megayacht with an Italian touch
The superyacht business is boundless; a new product became the biggest yacht in the world: Azzam, the 180 meters megayacht owned by the Saudi prince al-Walid bin Talal, a yacht built by Lürssen. The external design is made by the studio Nauta Yachts in Milan and the inner rooms are designed by Christophe Leoni.
Azzam can be defined as an artwork, which beats the famous 162,5 meters yacht Eclipse, owned by the Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich. The first step to begin an extraordinary holiday, far from usual routes, is to closely watch the luxury boats; the demanding tourist will be fulfilled by the last trend of yachting.
