Sicily is an island of amazing charm, is a land where they were born many myths and legends, a natural paradise both for its beaches and for the inland towns.
In this context arises Fontes Episcopi, bio resort in Aragona, near the Natural Reserve of Macalube.
In this historic dwell you will have the opportunity to discover the lush charm of Sicily, find harmony in the wellness area, join excursions in the Valley of the Temples and sample the delights of the garden, cared for with attention and passion of the farmers one time.
Fontes Episcopi has noble origins, as the Baron Ignazio Genuardi decided to donate this country house to his son Gerlando, who became a bishop much loved by the people. Today this historic residence has been redesigned, respecting the original structure, to offer hospitality to discerning travelers who wish to explore the wonders of Sicily, just as they did the aristocrats from across Europe in the nineteenth century.
The resort has two floors: the ground floor houses the lobby, public areas and the kitchen, where you can participate in cooking classes with the chef of Fontes Episcopi; on the first floor there are the 7 guest rooms, each defined by the name of a fruit, an aromatic plant or a typical product of the territory.
You can choose between a room with a private terrace or a room with a view of the countryside and the courtyard, each with furniture, colors and finishes that enhance the modern and elegant style of this romantic dwelling.
All rooms have private bathrooms with shower, TV, safe, minibar, central heating and complimentary toiletries.
Fontes Episcopi gives guests the opportunity for direct contact with nature, by virtue of the lush garden surrounding the countryhouse and its wellness area that has no comparison with the classic Spa. This "gebbia", features an outdoor pool, and spacious rooms where you can let yourself be pampered with natural clay, from massages performed by experienced staff, from the rejuvenating hay baths and the revitalizing herbal teas, prepared with herbs from the woods .
If you wish to take part in an involving and original activity than traditional services of a hotel, you can participate in the harvest of products with the help of the peasants, learning to recognize and appreciate the peculiarities of each fruit, vegetable or essence of this garden.
If you want to enjoy more relax, besides the swimming pool and the wellness area of this dwelling, take advantage of the strategic location to explore the surroundings: the old town of Agrigento to the Valley of the Temples, Unesco World Heritage Site, from the Sicani mountains to the town of Aragoan, you will experience the thrill of revealing the treasures of the ancient Sicily, a region to visit both for the clearness of its sea and for its untamed beauty.
